"Thanks to Dr. Farina, my daughter had her serious orthodontic problems corrected. Her tooth was on its side due to not enough room in her jaw. This condition would have caused serious dental issues in the future. Her other teeth were also crowded and crooked. This was her second treatment because the first orthodontist didnāt correct the problem (2 yrs and $6000). Dr. Farina personally developed the Invisalign treatment for her 18 month treatment. "I wore Invisalign for 3.5 years. I had a bad underbite, class 3 malocclusion and was suffering from TMJ disorder.I heard that correcting the bite could fix the TMJ, so I went to consult Dr. Farina. He felt he could certainly fix my bite. I had gone to an oral surgeon previously and he explained that my jaw would have had to be cut and wired shut, the healing process would take weeks, and I would have to eat out of a straw. So, braces sounded like the better option. I started my journey in October of 2019. It is now March 2023 and I just got my Invisalign off. It was very much worth the investment, time and effort. They applied a small bar to shifts 4 teeth to fit in my canine. "50+ years ago, I desperately needed braces due to crowding & an overbite. The end results were impressive; however over the years, my teeth began to move. I wanted a straighter smile & my orthodontic issues addressed.The evolution of orthodontics is remarkable. I was told InvisalignĀ® can address many of those issues w/exceptional results w/o the discomfort or embarrassment of traditional orthodontic braces. I was delighted to learn I would NOT be getting unsightly, uncomfortable wires & brackets but instead discrete, clear aligners. My teeth-straightening process started w/high tech x-rays that encircled my head & state of the art pictures of my teeth & mouth. NO goopy impressions of my teeth were needed. All of that information was used to create a treatment plan w/o the orthodontist ever touching my mouth! I was told I would be given a series of custom aligners that I would change about every two weeks. Over time, my teeth would gently & gradually shift into proper place.My insurance provider does NOT cover braces, but I was offered a 10% discount if I paid the full amount up front. SUH-WHEET!I am grateful for the evolution of orthodontics! One, I can remove the device when I want. Two, there are NO food restrictions. I can eat whatever foods I enjoy. Three, I can enjoy virtually invisible teeth-straightening. Four, I can brush & floss my teeth normally for better periodontal health. Five, there will be NO broken, sharp, metal wires to irritate my cheeks & gums. Finally, I was relieved to know I can travel b/c there will be office visits only every 4-6 weeks.
