The Invisalign® Process
The first step in the process of Invisalign treatment is simply coming to the orthodontist for an examination. During this appointment, your doctor will visually examine your teeth and produce a 3D model of your tooth and jaw positions using a digital scanner. The new iTero scanner technology has a radiation-free laser that scans the teeth and soft tissue, creating a perfect model within just a few minutes that can be seen on a computer screen. This technology is fast and non-invasive, and it allows us to clearly show which parts of your teeth and jaw need to be treated with Invisalign aligners. The iTero scanner is the new and improved way to take dental impressions, so say goodbye to uncomfortable trays and putty that everyone hates and enjoy the simplicity of iTero.
The Invisalign aligners need to be worn for 20-22 hours a day, only being removed during mealtime and brushing. You will be provided with a set of new aligners by your orthodontist every couple of weeks, aimed at making another small change. Unlike braces, you are able to eat whatever you like, whenever you like, with Invisalign aligners. All you need to do is take out your aligners while eating and be sure to brush your teeth prior to replacing the aligners.
Invisalign treatment is able to solve various orthodontic issues including underbites, overbites, overcrowding, and spacing. This treatment is a wonderful option for adults because the aligners use a clear, smooth plastic that is virtually invisible to others. Invisalign aligners also tend to be more comfortable than metal braces since there is no friction between the aligners and your teeth. You may feel a bit tender around your gums when you begin to wear a new set of aligners, but this can be helped by taking pain medication or eating soft foods.
Invisalign Aligners For Adults Reviews
I am only day 2 out of 18 months in so I will have to update this review as I move along in my treatment. So far though , the office was very clean , the staff are very nice , and it was easy getting an appointment. I recommend anyone starting Invisalign at this location , do your own research about what the treatment entails . Ask about attachments, foods you cannot eat once treatment starts , best way to clean your trays , and purchase some items you’ll need to care for your aligners and teeth prior to starting treatment . My Invisalign kit did not come with any cleaning tablets or written instructions . I think patient teaching of the things I just mentioned are ESSENTIAL prior to the patient deciding on moving forward with Invisalign. The staff was professional & caring , I just wish there was more teaching upfront because I was floored I’d be getting 15 attachments until the day they were applied. I will update my review as I continue through my treatment.
Hands down the best place to get braces all the staff are super nice, you are guaranteed to leave every appointment smiling
Dr. Farina and his team are amazing! My daughter just had her braces removed and we are so happy with the results. Everyone that works there is so kind and you can tell they all love what they do. They treat you like family.
Just got my braces on today! My son starts phase 1 in 3 weeks. Dr Farina is fun and encouraging. He's very knowledgeable and has a new updated way of looking at ortho. I have a complicated mouth and my son has inherited that and he caught it right away. I can now be confident that my son will get great treatment the same time I am finally getting mine fixed. Hannah was a great smiling face to help with the coordination of the process and answered all of our questions. The team environment of the entire office is very impressive. I am excited to be a part of the team.
I’ve been going to Dr. Farina for now almost 6 years. From braces to Invisalign and he’s great! All the ladies that work in office are also always so sweet and welcoming. Will never change!

What Are The Benefits Of Invisalign For Adults?
We know that many adults do not want to draw attention to the fact that they are fixing their teeth. One of the biggest benefits afforded with Invisalign is that it goes virtually unnoticed by others, and you may even forget that you are in the middle of treatment too! The habit of wearing your aligners will become second nature to you in no time, so you can watch your teeth morph right in front of your eyes to a beautifully straight smile.
Invisalign treatment time is roughly the same as braces, taking about 12 to 18 months on average. A big difference between these two options is that Invisalign does not require much maintenance from you. You are still able to eat anything you want with Invisalign, and you can continue dental hygiene routines like normal since you do not have to navigate around pesky wires and brackets.
Caring For Your Aligners
Taking care of your aligners is very simple but is something that should not be overlooked. You do not want to let food or drink accumulate in your aligners because they will be sitting on your teeth for most of the day and can cause dental problems if not kept clean. You should make sure that your teeth are clean before putting your aligners back in as certain foods and drinks can stain and damage the aligner. We recommend cleaning your aligners with peroxide and a toothbrush.
